Almost done editing my theme’s styling on my new blog, redbeautytextilesblog, but two things are stumping me.

First one is the solid almost black line at the bottom of the page. Not the WordPress header but at the bottom, color is #303030. I’ve searched and searched thru the style.css and code and cannot seem to locate this to either remove or change to white.

Second is the hr tags between items on the footer menu. Again I’ve tried Inspector and poring over the code and cannot find this. Would love to remove these.

    Many thanks in advance!

Regarding the bottom area, that is the site footer, but at first glance, it looks like the site footer was moved or modified in some way. Did you make any changes?

Regarding that space you are referring to, that is the .site-footer container and a bottom margin of 20px that is creating that.

I would also remove the widget menu you have there because it looks like your footer menu is already there as a duplicate. You won’t have to worry about the menu separating lines because the footer menu is already there…just that the colours for styling the footer menu need to be done.

@shaped-pixels, I removed the footer menu widget and my three menu entries disappeared.

If the .site-footer is a container with margin then the #303030 color is the background of the entire page?

Color for the footer background and text is in place. White ground, gray text.

The page bg is #f3f3f3 done from the customizer. The body background is the #303030
Right now, your footer menu has a child theme override colour of #fff which is hiding the footer menu on the white background, if you remove that, your footer menu will show.

@shaped-pixels, thank you for your quick response. Your help allowed me to complete the last few styling bits before getting on with writing the blog.
