Remove "Leave a comment" link from frontpage in Twentyeleven

Hi Guys,

Another newbie to WordPress here. Have managed to work things out pretty well so far, but am struggling to find the correct php file and piece of code that would remove the “Leave a comment” and “Edit” links from my frontpage. I would like to leave my frontpage sparse and to that end have set up a child theme and successfully removed all that I want except for these two items. I have spent two days on the forums with little progress and am hoping that you will be able to point me in the right direction.
