Is there a reason why manual notifications are automatically set to have a link even if the URL is not set? I have a test notification added and did not set the URL, but the notification text is still getting the “a” tag applied to it so it looks like it should be linking somewhere to the end-user. Maybe this is just a bug, if not, I think if the URL is empty for a manual notification then the actual text notification should not be linked.

    Hi,

I originally only considered the use case of linking the notification with a page or post with more details. But I’ll remove the a tag for empty url fields in the next update. Thanks for the suggestion.

@wpdever I like the option of being able to enter a custom URL, but appreciate that you’ll remove the a tag if the URL field is empty on the next update.
