    Hi,

I have products in main categories like Necklaces/Earrings.

The same products also belong to secondary categories like Christmas/Halloween.

The feed currently shows all the categories for any product. I want the product feed to pick up the main product categories only. Is there a way to achieve this?

I tried excluding the secondary categories using filter, but the feed shows no change.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. This is only possible when you have set so called “primary categories” using the Yoast or Rankmath SEO plugin. You can than use the attribute “Yoast / Rankmath primary category” in your field mapping.

    Hope this helps?

    Thank you!

Should both g:google_product_category and g:product type be changed to “Yoast / Rankmath primary category”?

    Hi,

The g:google_product_category field is being filled with Google’s category taxonomy ID that you have used in the category mapping. So please only use the “Yoast / Rankmath primary category” in the g:product_type field mapping (when that is the field you want it to be in).

    Thanks! That worked!

    Perfect, thanks for the heads-up.

    Thanks!

One more question – For a product that is in multiple categories, is it possible to eliminate just a few in the product type?

Eg : Can Bracelets||Jewelry||Christmas be altered to just Bracelets||Jewelry||?

    Hi,

I am afraid that that is not possible with our plugin.
