Remove option "select members from directory"

Hi there,

I was wondering if it was possible to remove the option:
“select members from directory”

So that users can only invite people externally via email and internally by friends only.

I saw the post with a solution that is not update proof.

Anyone been able to achieve this via a code snippet in function.php or some sort?
