Remove Page Title

Probably the easiest way to do that is to use CSS to hide that element – but we’d need to see the site to help with specifics.

However, I don’t want to just hide it, I want the whole space removed so that the new title, ‘Welcome to Fredericks!” is moved to just under the slideshow.

Did you try this plugin https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/disable-title/

Try adding this to the custom CSS in your theme:

.entry-title {
   display: none;
}

To move it further up, add this and adjust the 50px:

#main {
    padding-top: 50px;
}

Andrew – I did try that plugin and got all those warning messages.
WPyogi – I did the CSS and we’re good to go. Mind you there wasn’t a custom CSS place so I just added it to style.css and backed it up.

The Custom CSS is under Theme Options > Design Options > bottom tab says “Custom CSS”. It’s better to use that as changes to style.css will be overwritten when the theme is updated – you really don’t want to go there :)!

Nevermind – there is a space for custom css. My bad. Thanks for the help!

To apply a style to the home page, prefix it with .home:

.home .entry-title {
   display: none;
}
