• I’m wanting to remove my h1 page title on pages and/or posts. I’ve read through the support forum and they all have the same solution: CSS. CSS doesn’t actually remove the page title, it only hides it. If anyone uses CSS to hide the page title and then creates their own h1 title on a page or post then their page will end up with two sets of h1 tags.

I first noticed I could select a template. I went to look at the code of the custom page template. I see nothing in reference to a title. In fact, most of the theme’s code is structured in a rather clunky way. Almost every single bit or feature is referenced in some other location. To modify just one simple thing you have to track down multiple files to try to find the source that is being referenced.

It would be nice if the theme had a simple feature where on each page or post you could click a checkbox of “Hide Title.” Most themes I’ve seen this in, such a feature completely removes the title from the page. In this case, one can simply add their own h1 tag for their page title.

  • Hi there,

There’s no option in the theme to display an h1 in your home page only.

Achieving that it is technically possible but it would require custom coding by a developer.

Alternatively you can show a static front page in your home and place an h1 therein, or also, display a widget only in home (e.g. with a plugin like Widget Logic or similar).

    Have a good day!

It’s not showing an h1 on the frontpage. I have my frontpage set to a static page. My issue is on other pages I’ve created. I have an About, Contact, and FAQs pages. Those are the pages I’m trying to remove the default h1 title from.
