• Hi All,

I have just placed my page titles down the RHS of my blog page. However they are also still in the section under the header.

How do I get rid of them there? My theme is 20-10 and my site is the-boating-store-blog.com

I am in the process of learning html to avoid having to get other people to keep helping me out. (Though I do really appreciate the help). Please bear with me…

  • You need to create a child theme and then remove the top navigation menu from your child’s header.php template file.

    Esmi,

Thank you. It will take me a little while to get on and do it but I followed your link and it looks do-able. (for me, I mean)

    Just an update.

Recently, someone showed me how to do this. For those still in the sand-box of learning html, css and php, the following info will really help –

‘In your WordPress Dashboard, select Appearance/Menus. First, clear the checkbox for “Automatically add new top-level pages” and then Add a menu. Give it a name, such as Page Menubar. (If necessary click the tab with a + sign to display a blank menu.)

On the left side of the menu screen, under Pages, select the View All tab. Select the Pages you want to add to the menu. Drag to rearrange. If any of the Page names are too long, use the Navigation Label box to type the menu item display text. Save Menu.

Then, on the left side of the main screen area, under Theme Locations select your new menu as “Menu 1” and Save. Your clean menu will then display at the top of your blog.’

Am posting this here, because someone else looking for the same info might be able to find it.
