• Hi! First of all, thanks for this awesome plugin.

I have several landing pages depending on the location of the visitors, so some content is duplicated many times over different pages.

If I enter a keyword, all the landing pages containing it will appear in the search result.

Is there a way to remove these pages from the indexation? I’ve seen some documentation for “posts” but not that many for “pages”.

    Thanks.

Pages are also posts, so anything that’s about posts also covers pages.

With Relevanssi Premium, Relevanssi provides a simple checkbox on the post edit page you can check to exclude the landing pages.

With the free version, you can list the page ID numbers in the “Post exclusion” field on the bottom of the Searching tab of Relevanssi settings. To completely remove the pages from the index, you can use the relevanssi_do_not_index filter hook.

Awesome, thanks for the quick reply.

I tried the “relevanssi_do_not_index” filter hook, but it didn’t work (I didn’t try very hard either…)

So eventually, I installed a new plugin called “Pages with category and tag”. It simply does what the title say: adding the possibility to give categories and tags to pages. Then when I went to the “searching” tab of Relevanssi, the new categories appeared in the “Category exclusion” part, and that’s it! No more landing paged indexed!

    Thanks again for this plugin.

Very good! That’s certainly an easy approach to this.

If you’re happy with Relevanssi and the service you’ve received, please consider leaving a review. Thanks!
