Hi guys, I searched the forum but didn’t find this question asked anywhere and decided to reach out.

Currently, our site displays pages in a way that includes the parent page in the URL (i.e. the page Thailand displays as website.com/asia/thailand). Is there a way to remove the parent page from the URL without using a plugin?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @dankiteski,

Do you mean you want to remove the category prefix? You can do so in two ways:

    1. Using the Yoast SEO plugin
You can remove the categories prefix directly in WordPress > SEO > Search Appearance > Taxonomies > Category URLs options. This will automatically remove the category prefix from the URLs.

    2. Removing category prefix from Permalink settings
You can remove the categories prefix directly editing the permalinks settings of your site from the WordPress permalink options. If you choose this option, you’ll need to manually create the redirects to prevent the 404 crawl errors.

Before trying any of the aforementioned suggestions, we recommend that you create a backup of your website.

    Thank you.
