Remove Post Date on Search?

Thanks for reaching out about removing the date in search result pages. Unfortunately, our plugin has no option to prevent dates from showing up in the search results. The referenced blog post points to an outdated version of the Yoast SEO plugin.

Ultimately, Google decides whether or not a date is shown in the search engine result pages. There are a few ways to influence this, but this is beyond the scope of our support on Yoast SEO. What we can do is refer you to a source?here?to learn more about this.

That would be great. If there was a solution, would we still be in the good graces of GOOGLE? If it could cause issues, I’d rather leave it “as is”

It would simply be nice to remove the date as some of our posts contain annual events.
