Hi there, first post here. Getting a WooCommerce install off the ground and really enjoying it so far. I looked through the first 5 pages, and did some searching around but couldn’t find anything relating to my problem, apologies in advance if this is a duplicate.

    Basic Info:
    WooCommerce: v2.5.5
    Theme: Flatsome 2.8.5
    WP: 4.5.1

    The Problem:
I’ve customized my shop homepage so much with sliders and information, that I don’t actually want the product list to appear on it anymore. I still want it on every other page obviously, but I find the grid just looks awkward plopped down at the end of my rigorously smoothed sliders and category links. However I can’t seem to find a way to get rid of it in any settings.

Ideally it would be something like an option in WooCommerce > Settings > Product > Display. There’s an option for Shop Page Display (Show Products, Show Categories, Show Both), and the best way would be if there was a “Show Neither” option (which of course, doesn’t exist).

I can “fake” it by creating a standalone static Page and then pointing the Shop Page to it, but this feels like an inelegant workaround (and the permalink fights with the default Front Page).

I know quite a bit about web development, but am relatively new to WordPress/Woo themselves, so I’m willing to entertain relatively advanced answers (e.g. make child theme, edit custom page-home.php or something) but was hoping that there was something simpler (e.g. not installing yet-another-plugin), some setting that I had overlooked.

Thanks in advance, please let me know if you need more info.

Having a ‘show neither’ option for out product listing page (shop) would be utterly pointless. It would be an empty page. This also has nothing to do with your homepage.

You’re asking about customising the homepage, but this is controlled by your theme. I’d expect Flatsome handles the product loops + sliders all in one of it’s template files.

You’ll need to ask Flatsome about this as we support WC core here only.

Thanks Mike, I’ll be checking that out with Flatsome. I wasn’t sure necessarily where that could be defined so thought I’d try here first. I’ll probably be back for a “real” problem in the future, thanks again.

@cdensch, did you found a solution for the same? I also don’t want to display product filters and listing in Shop Homepage. I was able to display only category hierarchy using custom shortcode which I created in functions.php. I tried to add WordPress Add Custom CSS plugin and add hide attribute to some classes but it doesn’t seem to work.

It would be great if you could share solution.

    Thanks.
