    @iceteabottle,

    Try – Settings – Languages – Disable all languages except the default language.

    Under Import/Export – Reset qTranslate.

    Remove the plugin qTranslate completely.

    See if this is sufficient.

    That doesn’t remove the language brackets from the database…

    I just made myself a test, and you’re right.

    This is of course not often asked ??

    But I will consult with John for an additional feature in the plugin.

    Another thing, you got error messages when you reset qTranslate?

    Which version are you using?

    No, I got no error message…

    WP: 4.1.1
    QTx: 3.2.9

    Hei, I have the same problem. Tryed to remove the blugin, but could not, because [:fi]…[] in titles. We even restored the prvious basckup, but the plugin were still there, and when we removed it, the all the articles in the site got [:fi] -begining, it is a huge problem. Is it possible to remove the plugin?
    Whould be great if you asswered my question.

    I experienced the same issue, just removed the pluggin folder contents, re-uploaded them, reactivate and voila! problem solved, flags came to backend again.

    This is an issue which needs to be addressed by the developer PROPERLY. What is the step-by-step process to removing this plugin…?
