I hope you’re doing well :).
This plugin removes query strings from the canonical URL. When using WPML this might not be something you wish to do so I’ve added compatibility for that in the upcoming update.
If you add the following query string after your website’s url, e.g.:
https://example.com/?s=something
You’ll see that the canonical URL will point to https://example.com/
.
This will mean search engines will follow and index https://example.com/
, not the search query.
This way of making URL’s point to their parent will also be in effect of other query strings.
