remove rankmath metatag comment/ remove canonical to pagination pages

2. Please use the following filter to remove the canonical tag from the paginated pages:

add_filter( 'rank_math/frontend/canonical', function( $canonical ) { if (is_paged()) { 	return false; } return $canonical;});

?3. ?Our plugin adds the modified date of the posts to the sitemap by default. Please check the page source of the XML sitemap. If you are not seeing it in your sitemap, please share the site URL so we can check.

I want to have it, according to this google documents https://developers.google.com/search/docs/specialty/ecommerce/pagination-and-incremental-page-loading

Don’t use the first page of a paginated sequence as the canonical page. Instead, give each page in its own?canonical URL.

How must do that?

You can use this filter instead to force the pagination to have their canonical URLs to be self-referencing:

global $wp;?
$current_slug = home_url( $wp->request );?
if ( is_paged()) {?
$canonical = $current_slug . ‘/’;?
}?
return $canonical;?
});
