Remove Revolution Slider from homepage

    Hello, we recently deactivated and removed the plugin Slider Revolution https://www.sliderrevolution.com/

    We had a free account that was very outdated. When this plugin was removed the homepage now has the shortcode [rev_slider alias=”homepageslider”]
    written just below the header on the homepage in text.

    We cannot find the shortcode in Visual Composer, or backend “Edit Page” of the homepage.

    Any help appreciated to remove this text!

    Hi,

    The website shared by you is not using Visual Composer. It is using WPBakery Page Builder plugin.
    Please note that both are independent plugins. The Visual Composer Website Builder works using react-based layouts while the WPBakery Page Builder works using shortcodes.

    Yes, the plugin is WPBakery Visual Composer. Are you saying to try their support forum (currently not a premium member, so this is out of the question as I have no access)? There is no shortcode in the backend editor I see, and when I go to edit from the builder the text is unclickable.

    Hi,

    If the shortcode is not present in the WPBakery Page Builder editor, then it might be added directly in the theme code, via the theme setting, using a third-party plugin, etc.
    If it is added using any page builder, then it will be visible within the page builder editor which can then be used to edit or remove it.
