  • Hi @stephenvann,

If you are having a single image then you can choose the Single Background Image option. Simply go to Appearance -> Customize -> Slider Settings and choose Single Background Image as option.

The Slider is a post category slider so putting a shortcode will not work. Make sure you choose a category which does not have a shortcode.

I’m not sure I explained my problem clearly. The excerpt that appears with my slider image displays the short code in that text.

Is there a way to keep the short code from displaying as part of the excerpt?

    Hi @stephenvann,

The slider does not show excerpt. It shows the trimmed string from the actual post content. It shows exactly 25 words of the actual post content and won’t let you to display shortcodes. Reason for this is the user can actually increase the excerpt length from the customizer settings which would not look good if there is too much text in slide.

The short code in the trimmed string from my post content is showing on my slide. Please see the link to “The page I need help with” above.

How do I keep the code from displaying with my slide?

    Hello @stephenvann,

Currently there is no way to show shortcode in slides. I suggest you to select post category for slider with no shortcodes

    Regards

How frustrating are these responses. I straight away understood the help you needed. You simply wanted to strip shortcodes from displaying in the slider descriptions. He did not want to display shortcodes!
