  • If you go to
    Appearance->Customise->Site Identity
    and take out the values for Site Title and Tagline, does that do what you want?

    Yes, however, that is a problem for Google and its index.

    I would like to change the title of the page without deleting that information.

    You could override the size (1px) and color (transparent) to do what you want, perhaps?

    @stilman-davis I think I made a mistake and I didn’t mention in the post I wanted to remove the description in the title of the browser when you open the main page of your website.

    I think you will need to dig into the code of the header information ( wp_head() ) and change the <title> information. You need to redefine the function. But I am not sure how you do it in a child theme. Sorry, I hope someone else will be able to help.

    Hello @stilman-davis

    I was going to open my FTP files, however, I have just realised Yoast SEO plugin changed the information I wanted to hide.

    Thanks for you time.
