• Hi,

I just activated this theme, but in my Contacts pages (portuguese and english) it has this tagline/excerpt, just below the title of the page:
“This is just a short excerpt for the contact page.”

This was not present in the previous used theme.

I cannot find where to disable or erase this phrase, and why it only puts it in this page (automatically detects a contact page? How?)

    Thank you for your help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey, I could not quite figure out where the problem is, or maybe you have solved it already?

    Hey, thanks for your reply!
No, in my end the problem is still there! Please visit this page: https://terapiaenergetica.pt/contactos/

Don’t you see, below the tile “Contactos” a sentence that says “This is just a short excerpt for the contact page.” I didn’t put that text there and I don’t know how to remove it!
    Thanks!

Hi, heldercp, what you’re seeing is the excerpt for the page displayed, as created by the following function seen here: https://themes.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/twentytwenty/1.8/template-parts/entry-header.php#L63

    <?php the_excerpt(); ?>

You should be able to remove it from within the excerpt settings for that particular page.

Hi Ian, and thank you very much for your help!
It makes sense, but the problem is that I don’t see any place to edit the excerpt of the page in the page editing screen! Am I missing something? I looked everywhere…
Where do you change the excerpt setting for a particular page?
    Thank you again.

    Hello,

I was able to “fix” it through a workaround: I created a new page and deleted the previous one with the excerpt. The new page has no excerpt by default, and I couldn’t find a way to delete or edit the excerpt in the Page editor on the deleted page!

    Thanks for the help anyway.
