    Hi guys.

I’m using your plugin and displaying via a widget but have noticed the links open in a new window, is there a way to remove target=”_blank” from the markup?

    Thanks

    Hi @aaronbennett2097,

By default the widget opens links in the same tab/window so I guess you/someone from your team changed the default behavior to _blank at some point.

    To change it back:

    1. Go to Settings > WordPress Popular Posts > Tools.
    2. Scroll to the Miscellaneous section.
    3. Set Open links in to Current window.
    4. Click on the Save button below to apply changes.
    5. If you have a caching plugin installed on your site, flush its page cache so this change is reflected on your website right away.

Perfect, thank you, don’t know how it was set to new window, but works perfectly now!!
