    Hi,

I installed your plugin in september and now want to remove the line of text I then put in between the last field and the submit button. However, I cannot find where to remove it.

    It should just be:
    title
    emailadres-field
    submit button

(It must have been an option when I originally made the form, but it is gone now?)

Since my settings in mailchimp.com seem to be fine, I have tried to ‘update list’ in the wordpress plugin, but I cannot get rid of that one line of text. (see https://www.moreplease.nl)

    Could you please help?
    Thanks!

  • Hey Noralyking!

Thanks for getting in touch. It looks like there’s some remnant “Help Text” there for some reason. While clicking “Update List” doesn’t seem to do much, what happens if you switch the plugin to be connected to another list (even a brand new empty one) and update that, save the plugin’s settings, then switch back?

We’re definitely happy to help out, so please give that a shot and let me know what result you get.

    Thanks!

    Hi Gabe,

    Thanks for your quick answer.
I tried it – made an empty test list, connected the plugin to it, updated the list, saved the plugin, switched to the old list, updated it and saved the plugin.

However, the result is still the same…

Any other suggestions? You cannot go into a backend and remove that remnant of helptext?

    Thanks,
    Noraly

    Hey Noraly,

Thanks for giving that a shot! After digging some more, it looks like I was overlooking something. If you go into your MailChimp account, then go to Lists > your list > Signup forms > General form, then click on the name of the email address field, on the right side of the page under “Field Settings”, at the bottom, there will be a “help text” field containing that text you’re seeing there. If you empty that, then click Save Field, you should then be able to update your list within the plugin to get things re-formatted without that text in place.

Let me know if that works!

    Hi Gabe,

YES, that worked! Thanks a lot, of course, I feel a bit silly now, having missed that myself.

    Thanks again,
    Noraly
