    Hey there!

I use WP 2.8.4, and I have a problem with my Vigilance theme; I don’t like how it has a default “Home” button and would like to remove it.

My web page is https://www.stenbergvind.se and I already have “Information” which is the static home page, so I do not want another button to its left saying “Home” and referring to the same page.

I pasted my header.php into https://wordpress.pastebin.ca/1563361 and would appreciate any help with removing the “Home” button.

    Thanks,
    Anton

  • Go to your theme section of your admin panel and click on “Vigilance Options”. You’ll see an area to exclude pages from the top menu.

Find the page id by going to your pages list and hovering over the link. You’ll see something ending with: “action=edit&post=##”. That ## is the ID of your page which you want to insert in your Vigilance Options area.

Thanks for the input. Now the problem is partially solved… because I still got the “Home” button, it ended up removing the “Information” button. I’d rather name the button “Information” or “Hem” (Swedish translation of “Home”), since the rest of the web page is in Sweden and I don’t want of the words in it to be in English.

So basically, any idea how I can rename the “Home” button to something else?

Nevermind that, I did a search for ‘Home’ in header.php and found where I had to replace it. Now the problem is solved ??

    Thanks a bunch hellomatt!
