• Hi,

How do you remove the slider from a theme?

    My site is https://vanillaplay.com/

I already tried setting the number of slides to 0 but that didn`t work. I then tried entering “display:none” ubder the slider section of the style sheet.css but no luck there either.

    Any other ideas?

  • Where did you apply the ‘display: none’ rule?

I applied it to .flexslider which seems to have gotten rid of it.

This is what it looks like.

Thats exactly how I want it to look. Ive just spent 2 days of my spare time trying to find the .flexslider though! I feel Im missing something obvious. Is it in the editor?

Looks like its in a file called ‘flexslider.css’.

If you connect via FTP and navigate to vanillaplay.com/wp-content/themes/underfire/css/flexslider.css then add the rule to line 42.

If you can’t access via FTP then you should be able to gain access to the file in the editor. In the top right is a drop down box where you can choose which css you want to edit.

That did the trick! I went in via FTP and solved it as you said. Thank you!
