• I have a blog that I will use for affiliate marketing https://1addurl.com and would like to be able to remove the space that is designed for the Title of the Post. I have a special page named home and also a page named blog for content. I want to remove the space on only the page named home so that the content is moved up and you can see my trick image.

Any help on this would be appreciated…..

I DON’T want to remove the title and space on all posts, just the Static Home Page. The posts in the Blogs need to have a title, just not the Static Home Page. I called the page that I want to remove the title and space HOME.

    MartenDavis,
Depending on the theme you are using, you can:

Create another page template and call it ‘home’ (for example), then remove page title from that template, and assign your home page to that template. That’s should solve it.

    OK, thanks.

    I made a new template called index_notitle.php

Now how do I associate the home page with that template?

    Thanks for your help!

I just checked your site, and looks like it’s working.

It is working, but I need to remove the space above the Home Page Post so that the information is up at the top. The neat .mov is not even seen. All that blank white space that is above the sales page needs to be gone.

I would REALLY like to get rid of the date, Home, Posted by, and the white space so that the sales page is right up by the Burgandy stripe.

    Thanks for your help….

BUT, ONLY on the Home Page and not the Blog pages. Important distinction. I could probably remove the title stuff from the index.php page but then every post on the blog would not have a title. I want a title on everything except for the Home Page.

    Marten,
Then remove the lines that call for that info in the template file (index_notitle.php)

Whitespace can be cause by the CSS of your theme.

    Marten,

There is a plugin that allows you to have multiple POST TEMPLATES, as well. Search the depository.

I understand about removing those lines, I just don’t know how to associate the Home Page to a different template (index_notitle.php)

    Marten,

Search the web for ” how to create wordpress page template “. Once you’ve property created and named one, go and EDIT your home page, on the right side, under ‘page attributes’ select the name of your page template from the dropdown menu under ‘Template’.

    Good luck.
