Remove type from URL

  • My client doesn’t want the URL for the site to be: //www.sitename.com/products/name_of_product (products being the content type created via toolset type plugin).
    Is this possible?
    How can I make the URL just //www.sitename.com/name_of_product?

    You can use the “Rewrite” rules in your Post Type edit screen under Toolset > Post Types > Edit > Options.

    But you cannot completely remove that, you can just prepend your posts with a different slug.
