remove unused space and add another menu at the top of Twenty twelve theme

    please help me out
    “Hi guys,
    recently you told me to create a child theme fro my blog to do further customization, I have done creating that child theme now.
    Now please guide me how I can remove that unused and pretty boring space from the top and place a secondary menu there for my pages like contact us,about us, etc.
    I am using Twenty Twelve child theme, and also help me out to remove that link of www.ads-software.com from footer
