    Hi,

I sometimes run in to plugins that has 10 translation files in loco translate that I have not added or are using. I only use Swedish (and I keep English for developers). Is it safe for me to remove them using the remove option in loco translate?

Also if a plugin has a superbad Swedish translation – is it then possible for me to manually set that plugin to use english instead with the help of loco translate, or how would that be done otherwise? Like a reversed translation we can say ???♂?

Could I also add a bonus question. How do I know how many translations I have made? I know the limit is 2000 but some plugin has translations that I have not done and I dont know what is counted in to this ??

    Best regards,

    Flamuren

You can remove any files you don’t use, this is really up to you. However, if there are loads of languages you didn’t add then they are probably shipped with the theme or plugin that they belong to. In this case they will come back next time you update it. None of this has anything to do with Loco Translate.

No. Loco Translate doesn’t control your language setting or which language is used for selecting translation files for loading. As for how you would do this is outside my plugin support.

How do I know how many translations I have made?

There is no total count available from the plugin. Only counts for each file are shown.

I know the limit is 2000

There is no limit. Please read this FAQ: https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/faqs/loco-accounts
