Remove users from a group

    Hi.

    I’m using the default group on my site because I don’t really need the “Group” function. However, our site admins are showing up in the default group.

    How can I remove admins from the default group?

    I tried creating an alternate group that was closed and assigning admins to that group. The problem is that if anyone clicks the name of an admin in a bbPress forum they can see their profile. The profile lists their group, and when they click on that they can see all the admins.

    I just need a way to remove admins from showing up in a group, or at the very least making the “Admin” group that I created hidden from everyone else.

    Note: I did remove the “Groups” tab from the profile using CSS. But, I’d still like to know if there is any way to create a private or hidden group. Thanks!

    Hello,

    If you do not want to link admin name to their profile page please disable the option
    “Automatically Redirect Author Page to their Profile” from “ProfileGrid >> Global Settings >> General”.

    Once you disable this option all the users will not link to their profile page.

    Or alternatively you can set profile privacy to “Only me” from “settings >> Privacy” on profile page. So once anyone tries to access profile page, the message ‘You are not authorized to view this profile’ will appear.
