Remove version in markup comments and meta tags

    AIOSEO hardcodes comments and a meta tag declaring the installed version of AIOSEO, which could potentially leak sensitive information in the event of an unknown vulnerability. Removing this, or giving the option to remove this via the UI and/or filters, would be quite welcome.

    We have had similar requests regarding this, but for now this will not be an option. Sorry about that.

    You may be able to find a filter or plugin that would remove this for you.

    We actually will be adding a filter hook for this, but we haven’t gotten around to it just yet I’m afraid. I’ll try to fast-track it for one of our future updates and we’ll let you know here as soon as we’ve added it.
