  • You can easily deactivate widgets that you no longer require. Here are two ways to remove a widget area in WordPress:

    • Log into the WordPress Dashboard.
    • Navigate to Appearance >> Widgets.
    • Drag and drop the widget from the widget area to the “Inactive Widgets” area to remove it from your website.

Secondly, you can use the Widget Disable plugin, which allows you to disable and hide unwanted widgets from your WordPress dashboard.

    • Log into the WordPress Dashboard.
    • Install and activate the Widget Disable plugin.
    • After activating the plugin, Go to Appearance >> Disable Widgets.
    • In the Sidebar Widgets section, check the boxes next to the widgets you wish to disable and hide. In the Dashboard Widgets section, do the same thing.
    • To remove the selected widgets from your widget list, click Save Changes.

    Hi @kellynguyen404,

I think you already solved it on your own? I just checked your blog and I can’t see the items or widget area you want to remove. The footer section looks fine and all good.
