• Hi,

I am working on a project where the IT guy has set up a wamp server to host the WordPress site I am developing for them.

Now, he tells me that the WordPress files have to be stored at (in this instance) https://www.pensionspocketbook.com/wordpress. I obviously do not want to have the ‘/wordpress’ bit in my urls so I was wondering what is the best way to deal with this, ie remove the ‘/wordpress’?

Also, it may be worth to underline that when I create pages, e.g https://www.pensionspocketbook.com/about, I get the 404 error (page not found) which is I believe related to the presence of ‘/wordpress’ in whichever way that server has been configured.

    Any help appreciated!
    Cheers

    P
