• One of my admins has left the company so I removed her user from the account.

Now we have a new admin and I am trying to add her as a user.

However, as we give them the e-mail addresses they need to use the new admins address happens to be the same as the old. When I try this I just get an error saying that the e-mail address is already in use.

What can I do about this? Just changing the original admins user name would be good enough too, but it won’t let me do that either!

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • You can change the username by going into the users table in your database and updating it. This can be accessed via PHPmyAdmin at your host.

    Cheers. Will try that later.
Would be nice to completely destroy that user though.

I actually figured out that if I added that user back (by adding a existing user by entering the e-mail) I could then change the e-mail to a junk one. Then removed the user. That leaves me clear to user my actual e-mail with a new user (as long as the new one has a unique user name)
