    Hello and good day.

I ran the media cleaner and it worked, however, it removed media image files that were live on my site.

Header & footer images in addition to some images under the header image.

I am using Elementor and an Astra theme so I am not sure if this is the issue.

    Can you help?

    Hello and good day.

Any word or update on this post?

    Hi @rayeason,

Actually Elementor is only supported by the Pro Version of Media Cleaner, otherwise it will not detect those images (they need additional checks). Are you using the Pro? If not, you didn’t notice the warning messages about Elementor? Normally, they should be displayed.

I did notice on your site that it mentions elementor compatibility.

But not sure if I saw it in the free plugin.

And no, I am not using the pro version.

I was checking out the free version first.

Ok, that’s why ?? Yes, I am sorry, it’s only in the Pro, those plugins are a lot of extra work, and that allows me to keep updating Media Cleaner with all their changes. Please give it a try, and if you run into any issues, I’ll fix them (but outside of those forums, Pro support is 1-1).

Thank you. I will take a look.

Will the Pro version work on multisite?

It works on multisite, but every site is considered independent (you’ll need to set the plugin on each of it). Media Cleaner absolutely needs the local context of the site (and to run within in), multisite or not ??

    Gotcha thanks!

    I have another question:

I have images, uploaded elsewhere, linking back to the images on my wordpress site.

These immages will probably be removed by the plugins cleanup, right?

Is there anyway for you app to tell if the image has been accessed externally or not?

If they are used somewhere else on the web, they will not be recognized as used. They need to be used by your WordPress.
