removing a backlink from the WP_STATPRESS table

  • I will use xyz.com as the backlink for sake of privacy.

    I have a guy that built a simple template for me and his backlink is in my adminPHP>database>WP_statpress table.

    So in the data base on hosgator and I click on WP_Statpress and go to page 1211 it shows the column referrer and the value is https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=xyz.com/&bwm=i&bwmf=u&bwmo=d

    Then in the column labeled search is has as the value his url in the search row line it has his domain xyz.com

    If I delete these lines will this mess up my website? How can I remove this backlink safely?
