I can go into the dashboard and navigate to the menu section to add/remove items. There, the only thing that shows up are the three pages I added. But when you actually go to the site, it shows those 3 pages as well as ARCHIVES. Anyone know how to axe the archives from there?

Found a temporary workaround. It is still there, but using the “inspect element” function, I found the code and changed the color to the same as the background for the menu. And since I have no archived posts, it is not a link. So, just black space shows up. I would still like a way to remove it, altogether, as to eliminate the extra black space below my last active menu item.

Hi there! Glad you got a workaround going!

If you’d like me to talk a look, please share a link to your site and I’ll see if I can come up with another suggestion that works. ??

Thank you, Sarah. I am really not good at this. ?? Graphics are much easier. Haha.

    Thanks for the link!

I’m not seeing an Archives link anywhere when I look right now (not even hiding by using the same color as the background). Am I missing it or did you get it removed?

If you still need help, do you mean the menu links in the center of the page in the [ ] or the ones that appear when clicking the hamburger menu at the top right? Any more detail you can provide so I know where to look would be great! ??

It is in the “hamburger” menu. On a PC, it was a couple inches to the right of the menu links. I just verified on my phone that is still there. On the phone, it is right below the menu links.

Ah, I see it now! Thanks for the screenshots. ??

It’s appearing in Top Widget Area Two. Do you see that in Appearance > Customize > Widgets? If so, you should be able to remove it from there. If you don’t see the Archives widget in there, try adding a different widget and saving to see if that pushes it out. (If you don’t have one you want there, add an empty Text Widget.)

    Any better?

Got it! Thank you, so much! I never thought that it would just be a normal widget menu for the navigation menu. Oddly, it was in Widget One, though. Posts and Archives both showed up there. But it is gone, now. All that matters. Thank you so much!

Great! Glad you found it & got it sorted! ??
