Removing Author

I’d like to remove the line that puts in the post/page author’s name. It isn’t in the loop file (at least I didn’t find it).

I need to do this because while the name appears as it should, the link shows the login name and I don’t want that. I can’t remember what I did to not have the login name not appear on my other sites. For example, a login name would be beezle but the user has Mike as the author. So when the cursor hovers over Mike, it shows “…/author/mike” not “author/beezle”.

Regardless, I’m the only person making entries and the author byline is not needed. How can I remove it?
