Removing author h2 (tags) from theme file

  • Hello guys. I would like to thank you for the support you gave me so far, i have a new question, recently i’ve done a SEO test and i found out that my theme has h2 tags set for the author and number of comments.

    These are set in my theme file as h2 tags and i don’t understand why.
    I would like to cancel this format for a beter SEO assuming that this gives a better SEO.
    I’m using the Presswork Theme and here’s the style.css file, i’m very new to php coding but since i started i’ve learned alot.

  • Try running the same test not with your site, but use it with the site that give that report itself and see the result.

    There is nothing wrong with this

    i have tried with another websites and they don’t have h2 tags for author and comments. H2 tags are the second most important after h1 tags.
    They are not ment for author and comments.

    i would like to make h3 tags for author and comments. i’m thinking this will give better seo.

    You’ll have to recode every h2 tags in the entire site and fix any relevant CSS. I dont think it will make any difference whatsoever in SEO. There are many more important factors in SEO.

    You ought to be cautious of information from any sources other than the search engine organisations themselves, especially when no references/ citations are given to any outside information. That blog looks like it’s written entirely out of opinion.

    i have another question, sorry i’m stressing you all the time.
    Although i have many posts updated every day with different topics, i receive traffic from google only for some interrogation, most of them regarding a post about apple releases ios 6.1.3, jailbreaking ios 6.1.3 etc. almost all of them are related to ios 6.1.3 which i posted almost 2 weeks ago.
    On my website there are many other posts concerning different topics, my question is why google redirects only people searching information about ios 6.1.3 and not something else to? Just as those topics wouldn’t exist.
    In google webmasters no interrogation words appear regarding those new different posts. I can provide any kind of information just ask me.
