• Hi,

I’m new here, so I may have additional questions as I complete my site set-up. Thank you in advance for your help!

I have my site set as an e-commerce website (using Woocommerce) with a static front page and do not have this issue on the home page. However, blog-related tags such as Recent Posts, Comments, etc. are showing up on the left side of all other pages such as Products, Cart, etc.

I think this will be a distraction for future customers who are not used to seeing “blog related” links on e-commerce sites.

My site still needs some work for it to be fully functional but here is the URL:
    https://www.thecelticshoppe.com

    Thank you!

So sorry! I can see it because I’m the admin. ?? Wish I could attach a screenshot.

Otherwise, does my question make sense?

Are you referring to your sidebar? Those could either be your sidebar widgets and/or theme options.

I’m using Woocommerce, Storefront theme. How can I check to see if it’s theme-based or a widget than needs to be disabled?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Like @citra stated, if it’s on the side then it’s 99% your sidebar. Also unless the theme has hard coded the blog stuff, you can remove them by going into WordPress Dashboard, Appearance – > Widgets. You’ll have to open the drop there for the label “Sidebar”, or “Sidebar 1” and delete each one widget. You might see a mix depending on initial theme option import or setup, so just make sure you are deleting things blog related and not woocommerce. ??

Hope that helps and solves your problem.

    Thank you,
    Artur

Thank you, Artur! That was it! So many plug-ins and widgets, so little time to check them all out! :=)

WordPress is like a candy store for people who love web design. It’s been about a year since I’ve set up a WordPress site and it wasn’t e-commerce.

    @vmalin,

Completely understandable, no worries. Everyone has their troubles at one time or another. It’s OK.

Glad it worked and things are in order now ??

    Have a good one.

    Regards,
    Artur
