Removing “By providing your card information, you allow … “

    Hi,

    I just updated to the new Stripe experience, and see this text below the CC field, even though I DO NOT sell subscriptions or recurring items:

    “By providing your card information, you allow … to charge your card for future payments in accordance with their terms.”

    How can this be removed?

    It is terrible for conversions.

    I would definitely not give my CC number if I saw this.

    Again, the text is therefor single payment items, not subscriptions.

    I found the setting to remove it, don’t know why it is ticked by default.

    It’s at:

    Woocommerce / settings / payments / stripe / settings / payment settings , and there is an “Enable payments via saved cards” checkbox.

    Thanks for that i’ve unticked that now too and it has removed the tickbox and the text regarding future payments message. Would be nice to change that text though and still have the saved payment option enabled. Hopefully we will see an update to this

    Woocommerce / settings / payments / stripe / settings / payment settings , and there is an “Enable payments via saved cards” checkbox.

    Enable payments via saved cards, if checked, allows customers to save their payment info on your site, which lets them to check out much faster in the future.

    However, we appreciate your feedback on the wording of this message not being great for conversions.

    Would be nice to change that text though and still have the saved payment option enabled. Hopefully we will see an update to this
