Removing Categories from Old Blog Replaceing with new?

    I have a blog 1 yr old.. when started i created WAY too many categories.. iwant to streamline it..

    remove all of them

    then add new ones

    i have posts under old categories if i remove the categories will it remove the posts?

    can i place them under new ones?

  • Deleting an active category will take any posts belonging to it and assign them to the default category. So no, your posts will not be deleted.

    To add a post to a new category, just edit it.
