One of my 5 sites, all created with Customizr and all using childify-me, got injected around Feb 22 and now has the “HoeflerText” font wasn’t found” scam in it. (I’m trying to find the weakness that caused it but that’s another story.)

    My question to you is:
For the sake of simplifying my site and the files that need to be cleaned, do I *have* to keep childify-me installed? Removing it would not stop my site from recognizing the child theme, right?

    Hi Deb,
sorry, I totally lost this support request.

Once you create the child-theme , you don’t need this plugin anymore ??

Sorry again for the very late reply ??

    Best regards,

    Thanks!
I’d asked once and you said deactivate but keep it installed. But it’s nice to minimize code so I am happy to now know I can delete it. (I LOVE Childify Me and always recommend it.)

By the way: How my site became vulnerable… In Plesk, I did an auto install of WP. Seeing no sign that it installed I hit Install again. So I had WordPress hidden inside WordPress. When I kept the site up to date, the inner install remained old.
My host and I started anew and I imported the site to the new.

    Hi Deb,
    thanks again for your appreciation.

    Sorry I don’t remember I said that :D.

I remember I said that you could deactivate it without problems. Maybe this could have been read like “deactivate but don’t delete it”.

Anyway if I said it I was wrong and I’m sorry, if I implied it I was inaccurate and I’m sorry too ??

Not sure about the vulnerability of your WP install.
Anyway if you find this plugin to be the culprit just let me know ??

    Best regards,
    Rocco
