So I found a thread on how to remove comments from Pages only (but still allow them for blog posts) but it was closed. Anyway I can’t make it work with Bouquet theme. I found the code on the “Full width no sidebar” page but I want the sidebar on.

I tried disabling comments entirely but while the box is gone for comments, the link to “post a comment” is still there. I’d be okay with that for regular blog posts but I don’t want the link on the pages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi SBiglow,

Were you able to figure this out? I visited your site and don’t see the “Leave a Comment” link on your Pages. Nice looking blog, by the way!

I did actually figure it out. It helped once I looked at the page source code to figure out exactly what needed to go away and then I just went through every file until I found the right code.

I am running into the same issue, not wanting the “Leave a Comment” on the Pages, but, of course, on the Posts (in the Bouquet theme). How was this done?

I’m having the same problem. It shouldn’t be this difficult to turn the comments OFF if you want them off. Anybody have a solution to this?
    Thanks

Ugh…Found it. To turn it off only from “pages, you’ll have to remove the code snippet “<?php comments_template(); ?>”

Yeah, I saw that too and removed the code, but for some reason the words “Leave a comment” still appear on the Pages… If I could just get rid of that, then I will be 100% satisfied.

I’m thinking of going through all of the Templates in the Editor and cross referencing anything that has “comment” or “#respond” and start the long process of trial and error…

It can’t be that tedious. Any thoughts?
