• Is there a way to remove the Comments off a Static home page.
I would like only an image on the page a line of text.

    Thanks.

You can turn comments off on any page or post by un-checking the Comments box:

Edit Page Fictive 1 1 by Automattic WordPress

If you already have comments posted on the page, you can either delete them under Comments or hide them with custom CSS.

If you need further help, could you provide a link to your site so I can take a look directly? Thanks.

    Thanks for the fast response.
I have deleted the boilerplate comment that came with the theme.
I want to remove, on the home page only, the option to leave comments.
    The site is https://www.finberg.com

I would also like to know how to change the font/type on a static home page.

What I really one is a home page similar to what is shown when see the Harmonic Theme on the WordPress site.
I want a very clean page.

    Thank you.

One more thing: How do I have a background image ONLY on the Home page?

    Thanks.

Check out the step-by-step Harmonic front-page setup guide:

I want to remove, on the home page only, the option to leave comments.

On the page in question, uncheck the checkboxes in the Discussion section, as you see in this screenshot:

How do I have a background image ONLY on the Home page?

Once you set up the site following the setup guide, you’ll see that there are areas where you can set up a background image for each front page section.

Let me know how it goes.

This is somewhat helpful. However, I can’t seem to find/access the Customizer. I downloaded the plugin but it didn’t add any menu item to the Dashboard. Am I missing something.

    Again,
    Thanks for the assistance.

The Customizer is something that’s built into WordPress core – you don’t need a plugin.

You should find it in the menu under Appearance > Customize, as you see in this screenshot:

Manage Themes Motif Child 1 0 0 by Anonymous WordPress

Let me know if you see it.
