During the night, this plugin updated automatically, adding an obtrusive “Latest from Our Blog” Widget to the administrative dashboard. I see no way to disable that Widget, either in the Widget’s own controls or in the plugin settings.

How can I remove this intrusive and unwelcome addition? If I don’t get a satisfactory answer by the end of the day, I will remove the plugin from all sites and make a point never to use any of your plugins again.

BTW, the outgoing links in that Widget are configured incorrectly, so they just go back to the administrative dashboard!

    Hi @ate-up-with-motor
We’ve released a newer version that fixes the invalid link issue.

Anyway, that widget actually displays the latest blog posts from our site that might benefit users like you as well as us to keep ourselves motivated to continue the development of a free plugin. I believe you understand what I mean ??

Also, this is actually a common practice as some of the renowned plugins like WooCommerce, Elementor, Rank Math etc do this.

    Thanks

Hi, I would like to support topic starter. Nobody asked for that widget with your blog. We should have an option to remove it.

Thanks for your input @titsmaker We’ll consider in the next version release.

But, I was just wondering, do you have an option to remove the same widget added by giant plugins like Elementor, WordFence or WooCommerce?

Yeah, that is ridiculous. If we want to read your blog posts, we will go to your website. Don’t be like one of the intrusive “giant plugins”. We don’t like their garbage either. In addition, if you’re going to add an unwanted widget and use UTM to track your clicks, you need to do a better job of error handling. I don’t want to see this crap in my debug logs.
