Removing Date From SERP, But Not On Page

Thanks so much for a great theme over the years.

I am curious if there is a way to hide the date from the SERPs, but still have the date on page for reference. Our site is Bible based, so dates are irrelevant for search, though they are nice to see at times for readers reference.
