I can’t figure out how to remove deletions and additions styling. If I highlight text and hit the Deletion button, it makes a nice strike-through and changes the color of the text to red. But what if I want to remove it? I can’t figure out how to do so without copying it and pasting in notepad to remove styling and then copying and pasting back to tiny_mce. Same problem applies to additions, citations, acronyms, etc.

Regular Styles with the styles dropdown aren’t as bad, but its awkward. The way I’ve been removnig them is by highlighting the text inquestion and then selecting “Styles” in the dropdown instead of the actual selected style.

Is there a better way to accomplish these tasks?

Yup… you’re def doing it the hard way ??

There is a button in the editor called “Clear Formatting”. It is one of the default WP buttons.

So, after you have text which has been “deleted” using the deletion button… simply go back and re-highlight the “struck-through” text, and then click the “Clear Formatting” button (it looks like a little eraser).

    Voila. Styles be gone!!
