Removing Files left by plugin

Yes, just delete their directories, then reinstall normally.

Steve – Jetpack is not in the plugins folder. It is still ok to just delete it from the wp-content folder then reinstall?

No. It is in wp-content/jetpack

I also noticed Updraft (the backup plugin using before installing backup buddy) is also in the same wp-content/updraft

Interesting. I don’t have any such jetpack directories on my sites. So, to be safe, rename it to jetpack.save or something then try the reinstall. Updraft uses its directory for backups.

ok will rename jetpack. It was removed in 2017 from site so not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Also not using updraft anymore so that folder should go as well?
