Is there a way to delete image attachment pages? I’ve read all about the plugin for redirecting them, but I don’t have a ton of images on my site yet, so is there a way to just delete them entirely?

Is there a way to prevent them from being creating in the first place?
Are they still created if you select None for the link?

  • I don’t know of a way to prevent them from being created, but the WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin can noindex/redirect them properly. If SEO is important to you, you should probably be using that plugin anyways.

The pages are still created if you select “None” for the link when inserting an image into a page/post.

That’s what I was afraid of.

I know all about Yoast, and Attachment Pages Redirect Plugin. I also just discovered All In One SEO allows you to select no index on the individual pages.

It would just be much easier if there was an easy way to delete them and prevent them from even being created.
