    Hello
I have in my WordPress site tables (of MySql) that have been created for and by plugins. Some of these plugins are no longer used. I have in the list of the tables (read in the options of your plugin) the indication (in French language, sorry: “Retirer” that can mean “Remove…”. Is it possible to remove these tables ? Is is it without any risk ? Thank you Denis

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi Denis,

Because several plugins can use the same table name, there is a risk that the table was detected as belonging to one while actually belonging to an other.

Also note that if you were using a free plugin, and replaced it with the premium/pro version of that same plugin, the tables might not be detected as used anymore, while still being used.

So if you know for a fact that the one plugin was used, and isn’t anymore, then you can remove the tables.

We do recommend to always backup the database before doing any of those actions.

    Best wishes,
    Marc.
