Removing line breaks from excerpts

Maybe they’re HTML line breaks and not just new lines..

echo str_replace( array( "\n" , "<br\>" , "<br />" ), '', the_excerpt());

Ignore the slash in the first BR above (forum was converting the code).

Use get_the_excerpt() instead of the_excerpt().
